The Declaration of Interdependence

What is this?

Great question.

It has been said before, and indeed, I hope it will be said by all eventually. In some form, somehow, at least.

We must all understand that we are not alone here, and if we hope to all survive and thrive on the Planet of Earth, then we must understand Where We are and Who We are With.

We do not live on a planet of only humans, and we must understand that and recognize all species and beings as equally important forms of life. If we are to treaty with each other, we must also have a proper treaty with the mosquitos. We must understand that every being is important and worthy of respect.

We must understand that the people have the power. Including ALL people- of course, including all humans as a baseline, but indeed, also including every being on the planet. From bird people and tree people to bug people and rock people, we cannot continue to make this arbitrary separation between humans and all other beings on the planet (usually viewed, incorrectly, as “things”, referred to as “it”). Dehumanizing language is baked into English, and we must challenge this at every turn. Calling rocks “it,” trees “it,” animals “it,” separates us from them, when we are not separate at all. Everything on Earth is interconnected, as indeed, is everything in the universe, physical or energetic, seen or unseen. Everything is connected.

Therefore, everything is, by definition, interdependent. The concept of a declaration of Interdependence is almost null and void, as interdependence is the force that inherently rules us all. However, certain humans have taken it upon themselves to attempt to convince the populous, for many hundreds of years, that they are somehow “independent” and separate from the Earth. Religions and governments claim that there is separation, and they use this idea of separation (of humans as separate from the rest of the world and universe) to rule, conquer, oppress, and control. Two hundred and fifty years ago, exactly (as I write this), did certain people, after leading a devastating genocide, decide they also should probably fight off the King of England, and “Declare Independence” - except, this was essentially only for the purpose of money and war. And religion, if you follow the “god, gold, and guns” historical propaganda of most US schools.

The Declaration of Independence of the US in 1776 was essentially a document of War and continued Violence, and was incredibly human-centered, to point out the obvious. Human centered, and specifically (very much only) “White Property Owning” Men - centered. This was a document founded in racism and capitalism, with a genocidal conquerors mindset backing it. (They call it “manifest destiny” and show american school children a picture of an angel, floating across the prairie, drawn west by “god” when they teach this subject, always uncritical and reinforcing of american ideals.) This is still on tests for children today, in the public school system and beyond. This propaganda has been spread far and wide, for hundreds of years, in order to manufacture the consent of the students they teach, to manufacture the belief in the united states as a legitimate place, when it is not such. It is a giant, coast to coast, glorified (and often, unglorified) labor camp, created to oppress lives and bodies and fund taxes that mostly go to funding more wars overseas.

Do you think they would need to create a severe housing crisis in the country if they did not need to coerce more people to join their battle forces, sign away their bodies and freedom in hopes of getting out of a worse situation? They had to create this false scenario in order to convince people to go to war for them. On a planet where things grow with rich abundance and food exists naturally on nearly all parts of the globe, scarcity has to be manufactured, in order to maintain control. Governments had to work hard to make things as bad as they are. Had to create mega-billionaires and take away housing. The divide is unbelivable. The numbers do not add up.

Just yesterday, humans landed back on Earth after executing a mission around the moon. It is hard to trust anything I do not see with my own eyes in these days of AI, but I choose to believe this is true, and possible. (them launching on April Fool’s Day didn’t help my skepticism, but I do believe in science as a true form of knowledge, when done in good faith and executed in a harmonious way with nature, and hope to believe it is really true that they went around the moon.) (and, if I am going to believe humans can actually go out in space, I also truly do believe that if we are smart enough to get to the moon, we have to be smart enough not to continue to kill ourselves on earth.)

So, let’s be smart enough. And, let’s be smarter than playing into their game.

We cannot look at this as another War if we are going to win. By this, I do not mean “do not protect ourselves” and “do not take direct action,” or anything along those unhelpful-pacifist lines. But it does mean changing our mindset.

Love will win this revolution because this revolution will not be another War, like they all have been.

This revolution will be a dance.

So, pick up a shovel, and, goddamn it, join us.

But after a time the all-seeing gods realized that these people’s hearts were empty of compassion and love. They could sing and talk, but their words were without gratitude for the sacred gifts that they had received. These clever people did not know thanks or caring and so endangered the rest of the Creation. The gods wished to end this failed experiment in humanity and so they sent great catastrophes to the world - they sent a flood, and earthquakes, and, most importantly, they loosed the retaliation of the other species. The previously mute trees and fish were given voices for their grief and anger at the disrespect shown them by the humans made of wood. Trees raged against the humans for their sharp axes, the deer for their arrows, and even the pots made of earthen clay rose up in anger for the times they had been carelessly burnt. All misused members of Creation rallied together and destroyed the people made of wood in self-defense.
